WHAT IS Hi PROTEIN DDGS?
Hi protein DDGS is a 50%-protein product containing spent yeast from the ethanol fermentation process. It is produced by separating corn fiber prior to fermentation and removing the solubles fraction after fermentation to produce a high-quality combination of corn and yeast proteins .This product is then gently dried to produce a highly digestible, plant-based protein product. Hi protein DDGS is a free-flowing meal and is golden in color.
HOW CAN Hi PROTEIN DDGS BE USED IN LIVESTOCK FEEDS?
Hi protein DDGS can be used in rations for a variety of livestock species. It is a concentrated protein source, low in both fiber and anti-nutritional compounds. It is ideal for use in monogastric diets and is well-suited for use in all vegetable-based diets common in today’s poultry industry. Additionally, use in swine and traditional poultry rations will likely be common. Lactating dairy cows would benefit from Hi protein DDGS as it serves as a source of rumen-undegraded protein that is highly digestible. Hi protein DDGS can also be used as an alternative protein source in a variety of aquaculture and pet food diets.
